The team’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo, piloted by Robin Liddell, and Frank DePew, has shown consistent pace and resilience, most recently securing a top-10 finish at Mid-Ohio. The pair sits seventh in the drivers’ standings and while the leading Porsche duo of Jan Heylen and Luca Mars hold a commanding 420 point lead over Depew and Liddell, the drivers of the #71 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 EVO are only 200 points off second place with six full rounds remaining.

The race weekend got off to a strong start on Thursday when Rebel Rock racing topped the time sheets for Practice 1 at the 3.45 mile former home of the United States Grand Prix. Only the RS1 Porsche of Heylen and Mars was able to get within a half second of the team from Deland. Florida.
The pace in the opening session has given Team Owner, Frank DePew an increased level of confidence about the upcoming weekend. “The car felt very good today right out of the hauler. I feel good about our chances for a good finish. We just need to keep it clean, execute and make good decisions in the car and in the pits, it takes a village to win races.”

For Depew’s teammate, Robin Liddell, the aim is straightforward. “Anything is possible as we reach the halfway point in the series but for now as always our focus is on winning races. Points score prizes.”
