Rebel Rock Racing heads to Road America this weekend for Round 7 of the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge carrying only a mathematical chance of the GS Title. The high speed incident on Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s lightning fast Andretti Straight effectively put an end to the Championship aspirations of the team from Deland, Florida.

The team is still chasing its first win of the 2025 campaign in its unmistakable Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo. But history is on its side: since 2019, it has managed to win at least one race every season—a streak the drivers and crew are determined to keep alive.
While it has not yet reached the top step of the podium this year, Rebel Rock Racing has been competitive with a second place at WeatherTech Raceway, Laguna Seca being the highlight of the season to date.
Team Manager and Pro Driver, Robin Liddell, has many fond memories of a track that has provided a significant amount of happy memories throughout his career. “Road America is always a fun track to visit due to the character and history of the place. A drivers favourite, the long layout makes for an interesting mix of turns and it’s a tricky balance to get right in terms of car setup. Added to which the track changes a lot from morning to afternoon and inclement weather can also be a factor.”

There is a strong degree of confidence within the team having completed a successful test at the 4.048 mile ‘National Park of Speed’ last week. “We certainly feel better prepared than we were this time last year” explained the Scotsman. “But we really won’t know until we start running in anger whether we have a better handle on the car than we did in 2024” he added.
“It would be nice to bounce back with a podium after Mosport; I think the team has performed well this year and myself and Frank have done a good job in the car but Lady Luck hasn’t really been on our side much so far this season.

I’m hoping for a turnaround in that respect and will be doing everything I can to make sure that happens.”
Rebel Rock Racing Team owner, Frank Depew is confident that the winning streak stretching back to 2019 can be continued, particularly at a venue that has been good to the team over the last few seasons.
“It will be a tall order given the number of teams competing and the quality of the competition which is at a very high level. Hopefully we will keep our winning streak alive and what better a venue than the one where Robin put on an unforgettable show in the rain to snatch victory at the line in 2019!”
