DELAND, FLORIDA (May 7, 2026): Rebel Rock Racing heads to Sebring International Raceway this weekend, May 8-10, for the third round of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, aiming to build momentum after its GT3 debut. The historic, notoriously bumpy, and physically demanding circuit presents a challenging three-hour feature race that will transition from daylight into darkness on Saturday evening.

The Pro-Am duo of Frank Depew and Robin Liddell return in the No. 71 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO, seeking a smoother run than their challenging debut at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA).
The team from Deland, Florida’s initial GT3 outing at COTA proved to be a grueling exercise in perseverance. The team faced an uphill battle when braking and gearbox issues led to a drivetrain failure on Friday, forcing the crew to miss the first two 60-minute practice sessions. This left the drivers and crew with only 30 minutes of track time ahead of qualifying.

Despite the setback, the team executed a focused strategy. Starting 14th in the Pro-Am category, Frank DePew drove a steady opening stint and climbed to fifth in class before handing over the Aston Martin to Robin Liddell. Ultimately, the team completed the three-hour race, with Liddell crossing the line 12th in class, acquiring vital data on the new car.
Team Owner Frank DePew acknowledged the magnitude of the challenge, stating that the mindset for COTA was simply "finishing with the car in one piece and acquiring as much data as possible" after the Friday issues.
Sebring concrete and bumps maybe intimidating, but regular testing there means the team can leverage a significant level of data and prior experience at the 3.74-mile Florida airfield circuit. As the only Florida race on the schedule, the crew is treating the venue as its "home turf".

Prior to the GTWC America season launch, the team conducted a successful test at Sebring with the new GT3 car, though not on the required Pirelli tires. This familiarity with the layout is expected to aid the team in translating the COTA data into performance.

“We’re excited to be back on home turf at Sebring, running the car on a circuit we’ve already tested on and seeing what we can do today,” said Team Manager and Driver, Robin Liddell. Reflecting on the race at Circuit of the Americas, the Scotsman went on to say. “Austin was a challenge, but we finished the race, learned a lot, and we’re bringing those lessons with us into Sebring.” The move to the Pirelli tire in GT World Challenge continues to provide the team with opportunities to develop and improve. “This tire is quite different to what we’ve been used to, so a big part of today is about learning how to get the best out of the Pirelli and translating that into race performance.”

Qualifying for this evening’s 3-hour race into darkness begins at 2pm ET. The race will begin at 5pm ET and will be streamed live on the GT World YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/@GTWorld.
